Every month we have national days.
We had National Spaghetti Day on January 4, National Curried Chicken Day on January 12, and National Green Juice Day on January 26.
Then, we had National Carrot Cake Day on February 3, National Cream Cheese Brownie Day on February 10, and National Chocolate Covered Nut Day on February 25.
How is this relevant, you ask, and who comes up with all this national-day stuff anyway? In most cases, no one is able to tell who created them, them as in all the over 1,200 celebration days that exist over the course of a year. But someone is definitely keeping track.
It’s relevant, however, to make a point. The point is that we have a bunch of National Days in March too and a number of them are food related.
When it comes to food, there are a lot of things to celebrate and not only can you use national days as an excuse to gorge on favorites, but also to keep an eye on store savings because retailers are in on all the national days and are preparing accordingly.
You could see prices dropping on anything from fruit compote to cold cuts, tartar sauce and mulled wine, to name a few of the things celebrated this month.
