Lidl coming to the US was good news to a lot of people and early this year the supermarket revealed that it’s set to open as many as 600 stores altogether throughout the country.
Right now Lidl is making final arrangements to open its first stores in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. 9 Lidl supermarkets will be welcoming shoppers Thursday, June 15 at the following addresses:
In Virginia:
• Hampton, 2000 W. Mercury Boulevard;
• Virginia Beach, 6196 Providence Road.
In North Carolina:
• Kingston, 4050 W. Vernon Avenue;
• Greenville, 1800 East Fire Tower Road;
• Sanford, 3209 NC 87 South;
• Rocky Mount, 940 N Wesleyan Boulevard;
• Winston-Salem, 3315 Sides Branch Road.
In South Carolina:
• Spartanburg, 8180 Warren H Abernathy Highway;
• Greenville, 2037 Wade Hampton Boulevard.
The opening celebration is a four-day event during which Lidl will include special offers, food sampling, and prizes.
Also, customers will receive a complimentary Lidl reusable bag while supplies last, and a wooden coin of up to $100 in Lidl gift cards will be offered to the first 100 people who arrive at each location.
According to the company, customers can expect to buy fresh every day at Lidl the following:
• Bakery goods from breads to sweet pastry;
• Sustainable seafood including frozen options;
• Top quality meats and dairy products;
• Organic produce and gluten-free foods;
• Fine wines sourced from around the world, plus other types of food and beverages.
About 90 percent of the stores’ merchandise will come from Lidl’s exclusive brand to provide customers with best value foods, but the retailer will also be including a selection of non-food products, changing offerings every week from small kitchen appliances to fitness gear and furniture.
