Top Reasons to Love the Day after Valentine’s Day

Make that day because a few things happen after Valentine’s and they happen for up to a week. What exactly is happening? For starters, you get a good break from having to sort out fancy presents, at least for a while before a new event has you scouting out the best possible gift for someone, hopefully, less picky.

Second, chocolate sells cheaper.

How cheap does chocolate really get after Valentine’s?

Down to a fraction of the price, although it’s usually up to each retailer to decide whether chocolate gets really cheap or just cheap. But as a general rule, have the pantry organized and the shelves cleared because the time after Valentine’s Day is good for stocking up.

Chocolate keeps well in the refrigerator, and in the freezer, it can last for up to 18 months, although really, the only way you can keep chocolate thins long is if you forget about it. I mean, it’s chocolate.

Look for luxury boxes that didn’t sell for Valentine’s. They may go a lot cheaper now. A great opportunity to taste top chocolate brands otherwise out of range!

Third, restaurants get un-crowded again.

How about dining without elbowing your way in and out of the restaurant?

As nice as it is to want to treat your beloved to a nice dinner in a nice restaurant, there’s nothing nice about having to fight your way to the dining table or to the restaurant for that matter.

Who says you can’t fine dine any day after Valentine’s Day when restaurants get a lot more intimate, and you can truly enjoy yourselves, the food, the atmosphere, the entire experience.

If you’re worried about missing out on special offers, here’s a little secret: there may be nothing special about it. Some restaurants create typical Valentine’s menus, and everyone’s forced to order the same thing.

Do you really want to be eating the same food as the rest of the tens of clients under the same roof with you?

Fourth, you get to buy lingerie cheaper.

Why not score a better deal on pretty-themed lingerie?

As tough as it is, be it for a man or for a woman, to buy lingerie, this is still one of the most sought after gifts. And themed-underwear prevails for a holiday.

Now, it’s probably not a good idea if you’re a man to wait until after Valentine’s Day to buy her the present. That is very not romantic, but ladies, if you want to score low prices for pretty lacy lingerie, shop after the holiday.

You can wear pink and red at any time of the year after all. And heart prints are not just for Valentine’s, you know.

Remember that just as with other holidays, the time after is always right for stocking up on various. Flowers, wrapping paper, and cards are three other various that you can buy cheaper after Valentine’s Day for later use.

And going back to chocolate, because everything revolves around chocolate, don’t forget Easter’s coming up, so buy the kind of chocolate you know you can put to good use.
